Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic captain for the team that took home gold in the year 2012. Six of her Olympic gold medals are part of an unprecedented total. Aly was also an athlete on two World Championships winning teams. Aly, a native Massachusettsn was captivated by gymnastics at the age of 18 months old, after she took a mommy and me class. Aly is an inspiration in the gym and off as well as a fervent supporter of body positivity, and recently as she was vocal about Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994, took up gymnastics when she was when she was a child. She was instrumental in helping with the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. In 2012, the gymnast won two gold medals at the London Olympics - one in the team competition as well as an individual one in floor exercise - in addition to winning a bronze in the beam. In 2016, Raisman returned to the Olympics in Rio she won silver medals in the individual floor and all-around final and a gold in the women's gymnastics team event. Raisman made a shocking revelation in the year 2017. She had been sexually abused at the hands her team's physician Larry Nassar. In the time that followed, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
